CCRP Application & Fee

Applicants should thoroughly review all the information provided in the Certification section of the website. Before submitting an application packet, applicants must review the eligibility requirements, application procedures, and certification program policies and procedures.

Application:

The applicant must submit the following:

  • Certification Application:  A completed online certification application.
  • Signed Ethics Statement:   Download, sign, date, and return the Ethics Statement with your application portfolio
  • Resume / CV:  The applicant’s resume or CV documenting their employment in clinical research.
  • Job Description:  The applicant’s official job description issued by each employer/institution for EACH position title documented in the letter(s) of reference.
  • Verification of Employment Letter: Include signed/dated letter(s) on institutional letterhead documenting the minimum work experience for the eligibility category. Include letters from EACH employer (supervisor or human resources) documenting EACH position. If required experience spans multiple positions and/or employers, multiple letters will be required.

Letters must include:

  • Position title(s) applying toward eligibility
  • Corresponding dates of employment for each position title

Full-time or Part-time status for each position title (Include the number of hours/ percentage of time worked in clinical research related duties for each position title)

CCRP® Exam Fees:

Current Members (North America – USA, Canada, Mexico): $510
Retest fee with one year of original application in approval date: $390

All funds in US dollars.

Please Note:

For applicants applying under Category 2 or 3, appropriate documentation must be included (see below).

For applicants who have a disability or special need that prohibits them from taking the examination under standard conditions, a written request, along with written confirmation from a physician, must accompany your application form. Requests will be reviewed by the Certification Committee.

Before you submit this form:

  • Review the Certification Program overview, Policies and Procedures, CCRP® Exam information, Certification Maintenance requirements and Recertification information.
  • Review the program eligibility requirements and assure that you meet the requirements for the Eligibility Category that you select. If you are unsure if your academic program qualifies under these categories, please contact the SOCRA office.
  • Review all Application Procedures. SOCRA will NOT accept applications that are incomplete or submitted after the testing registration deadline.
  • Review the Application Portfolio requirements and assure that your Application Portfolio (compiled into ONE PDF file) is complete and includes the following:
        • Signed Ethics Statement: Download, sign, date, and return the Ethics Statement with your application portfolio
        • Resume / CV
        • Verification of Employment Letter(s)
        • Job Description(s)
        • Disability or Special Testing Needs Request along with written confirmation from a physician. Persons with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities should contact the SOCRA office before applying to discuss testing requirements.
        • Category 2 applicants must ALSO include the following in their application portfolio:
            • SOCRA Form 1011 AND
            • All requested documentation indicated on Form 1011
        • Category 3 applicants must ALSO include the following in their application portfolio:
            • SOCRA Form 1022 AND
            • All requested documentation indicated on Form 1022

Note:

  • Once accepted, you will have one year from the date of acceptance to schedule your exam.
  • Fees include complimentary membership in SOCRA, upon successful completion of the CCRP® exam.
  • Fees are in U.S. dollars.
  • Re-test fee: $275, plus $115 (North America – USA, Canada, Mexico) OR $175 (countries outside North America).
  • For qualified applicants who apply for an examination, the fee is nonrefundable. The fee is refundable if the application process is unsuccessful.
  • ADA – This program is accessible to persons with disabilities. Please review our special needs policy and contact the SOCRA office to discuss your needs before submitting your application. Please list any special needs in the area indicated in the registration form.
  • If for any reason this examination cannot be held, SOCRA is not responsible for costs incurred by attendees, such as airfares, or hotel or other reservations.
  • SOCRA is an educational non-profit membership organization (corporation) – Federal Tax ID #61 1208981; however, your dues are not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
