Goal
The goal of the SOCRA Oncology Virtual Workshop is to enhance clinical research professionals’ knowledge, confidence, and practical skills in managing oncology clinical trials. Through interactive case studies and real-world scenarios, participants will strengthen their ability to navigate patient enrollment, safety reporting, informed consent, and regulatory compliance while promoting patient safety, data integrity, and high-quality clinical research.
Objective
To equip clinical research professionals with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to effectively manage oncology clinical trials, navigate complex clinical and regulatory challenges, and ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and data integrity throughout the clinical research process.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the workshop, the attendee should be able to:
- Describe the integration of clinical trials into routine oncology care and identify strategies to improve patient eligibility, access, and enrollment.
- Apply appropriate adverse event (AE) and serious adverse event (SAE) reporting procedures, including CTCAE grading, attribution, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Evaluate complex oncology patient scenarios to determine appropriate safety assessments, documentation, and reporting actions.
- Identify best practices for informed consent, protocol deviation management, and maintaining data integrity in oncology clinical trials.
- Develop practical, patient-centered strategies to strengthen regulatory compliance, patient safety, and the overall quality of oncology clinical research.
